What Are We Up To?

Here's a quick recap of what's happened since we was last here.

Otto Von Schirach has been all over the world and back to the world again. He is working on a new album of OTTO JAMS and he started a fine fine label called Triangle Earth - go to there to check out all the releases by all of our Devil's Triangle friends, including our favorite hero of superheros, Mr. Feathers!

Jose is no longer a king, in fact el Rey is dead, just like in the movies. His band the Getback just released a new record on Livid Records, and it rocks, bro.

El Tigre is doing security and staff safety for secret agency.

Debbie D is riding her bike around the globe, doing art and helping others.
FUTURE OF THE BASS WARRIORS?

YES! BIG TIME!

Jose Flores and Otto Von Schirach have made a number of tunes. They have the power of the bass, the charm of a snake and are fast like the blade of a switchblade knife.

WHEN ARE THE NEW SONGS COMING TO ME?

As soon as Jose gets his real cool leather jacket.

coldest winter ever: our fault

we'd like to apologize to all of Miami for making this winter season so cold for you, apparently due to nature's natural way of forcing itself inot to balance, we (the Miami Bass Warriors) generated too much heat and hotness last year (2009) so, therefore, 2010 is the coldest time ever in the history already.

so, stay warm by your your record palyer, buy our record, player

Miami Bass Warriors Reign Supreme!

once upon a time, and once again, we get mentioned for being powerfully glorious -- check out the Miami New Times Best Local Albums of 2009 -- or just read all above it here!

When it comes to highlighting the unique aspects of the Magic City, few do it better than Otto von Schirach and Jose El Rey. With tongues placed firmly in cheeks, they honor Miami bass, hype Calle Ocho like it was Rodeo Drive, and refer to Ñooo Que Barato as their mecca. Teaming up with Jose's bodyguard, El Tigre, and Debbie D. -- formerly of booty bass duo Avenue D -- seemed like a natural fit.
As the Miami Bass Warriors, the quartet continues to use Miami as a source of inspiration. "Going Back to Calle Ocho" uses LL Cool J's 1989 track "Going Back to Cali" as a blueprint, turning up the bass tenfold and switching back and forth between English and Spanish -- the way most of us who grew up here feel comfortable speaking. "Bro, That Chick's a Basser" and "Breakfire" only reinforce the group's love of hometown bass. In "Basser," Debbie D. coos, "I love the bass/When it's deep/And I ain't getting in that car/If I can't feel it in the seat." Not to worry, we definitely feel it. -- Jose D. Duran

also, suposibly, too, Miami Sun Post named us a best-of, but this sunpost magazine only has a few newsstands scattered around town, all of those few are empty and even with our combine internet search prowess, said article cannot be found online!

we see your face in outer space

As you might (and probably always) imagine, we are isolated in Otto's Palace. Looking for the ultimate vibration. We've found some good ones, we even made a kick drum so low it can see the future, and since we made that kick in the recent past: you know what we're trying to say.

Welcome to the future, we are the Miami Bass Warriors.

You're welcome, planet earth and the outer space.
